Victim and Community Notification
Victim Information & Notification Everyday (VINE) System
- VINE will tell you if an offender is in in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections, Oregon Youth Authority or a county jail and will give you other important custody and/or probation and parole information.
- VINE will also let you leave a phone number where you want to be called automatically when that offender is released, transferred, escapes, dies, or has a change in parole or probation status.
How Does it Work?
VINE offers two key features available for public access: (1) offender information and (2) notification.
Basic information includes:
- Offender name
- Date of bith
- Offender's state identification number
VINE will quickly search for:
- Custody status
- Inmate location
- Offender transfer and/or release
- Sentence expiration
Notification:
- Crime victims and concerned citizens may register with the VINE system to receive automatic notification of an offender's custody status changes by
Online Registries
Oregon State Police, Sex Offender Registration Unit, Online Registry
The Oregon State Police, Sex Offender Registration Unit manages sex offender registration and notification in Oregon and maintains an online database of information about registered sex offenders which is available to the public at http://sexoffenders.oregon.gov/
National Sex Offender Public Registry
Oregon predatory sex offender information may be accessed through the National Sex Offender Public Registry at www.nsopr.org
County Online Registries
Some counties maintain a public web site, which list high risk, predatory offenders currently under supervision by Community Corrections. Contact your local Community Corrections office for additional information.
