Human Rights Watch - Human Rights Watch undertook three years of research to expose the problem of male rape in U.S. prisons. The resulting report, No Escape: Male Rape in U.S. Prisons, is based on information from over 200 prisoners spread among thirty-four states, some of whom were interviewed personally, as well as an exhaustive survey of state prison authorities.

National Institute of Corrections - Prison Rape Elimination Act/Offender Sexual Abuse Project

Partnership for Safety and Justice - unites people convicted of crime, survivors of crime, and the families of both to redirect policies away from an over-reliance on incarceration to effective strategies that reduce violence and increase safety.

Stop Prisoner Rape - a national nonprofit human rights organization, works to put an end to sexual violence against men, women, and youth in all forms of detention. To achieve this goal, SPR seeks to: Engender policies that ensure government accountability for prisoner rape; Change ill-informed and flippant public attitudes toward sexual assault behind bars; and Promote access to resources for survivors of this type of violence.

The American University/Washington College of Law - Project on Addressing Prison Rape seeks to address prison rape using four strategies: (1) identification and analysis of the problem; (2) training of staff and offenders; (3) development and/or refinement of institution policy and state law; and (4) enforcement of law and policy.
